B. Sc. Biotechnology

Course Duration: 3 years
Affiliation: Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University
Eligibility: HSC Science with minimum 45% marks (40% for Reserved Category)

The 3-year Undergraduate programme in Biotechnology introduces students to theoretical and practical approaches to problems in modern biology. This involves the study and manipulation of life through cellular and molecular techniques. The course structure is largely interdisciplinary, boasting an array of auxiliary subjects including mathematics, informatics, organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, ethics and ecology. Our teaching methods combine classroom lectures with hands-on laboratory training, an approach that contributes to the overall academic development of our students. Graduates usually find employment in agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, research laboratories, academic institutions and government organisations. Some graduates may seek to further their academic career by opting for a postgraduate programme in Biotechnology or any of its allied fields.
