Hostel Facility

Admission Process

  1. Admissions are given on a ‘first come, first served’ basis (as per availability of rooms). Students should collect their hostel admission form after confirmation of his/her college admission. Student should then submit a fully completed admission form to the Hostel Administrative Office.
  2. Hostel fee is required to be deposited with the hostel admission form.
  3. Hostel fees are accepted in the form of Demand Drafts drawn in favor of “MGM’s Hostel Aurangabad” (from any bank).
  4. After completing the above formalities, the form should be submitted to the hostel in-charge along with two passport size photos of the parents or local guardian (if any). On completion of the above process, receipts of fee submission can be collected. The student’s admission is then confirmed and rooms are allotted as per availability.
  5. At the time of admission, the student must be accompanied by his/her parents or local guardian (if any, who will take responsibility of the student).
  6. In case of ‘Cancellation of Admission’, right from the date of admission and upto three months thereafter, 25% of hostel fees is deducted and remaining amount is refunded.
  7. In case of a cancellation after three months of securing admission, 100% of hostel fees is deducted and no refunds will be issued.

Hostel Rules

  1. The academic year for the hostel will be considered from July to June. Student wishing to extend their stay after the given period (for any reason) will have to apply and pay separately.
  2. Local Guardian (L.G.) cannot be changed or substituted throughout the whole year. For changing or substituting the local guardian, parents should personally introduce the new L.G. to the hostel authorities.
  3. The student must deposit the hostel admission form at the beginning of the intended period along with the Demand Draft of the hostel fees.
  4. The hostel has been provided with the mess facility*. The students must have their food only in the dining hall.
  5. The students cannot claim for specific choice of their rooms.
  6. Mutual exchange of rooms/roommates by the students is not allowed.
  7. The management  has every right to increase the hostel fees during the year.
  8. Students can keep their expensive belongings at their own risk. Complaints of theft will not be entertained by the management.
  9. Ragging is strictly prohibited. The students indulging in such activities are liable for disciplinary action as mentioned in the Maharashtra prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999 and will be expelled from the hostel immediately.
  10. It is expected that the students shall not engage themselves in any unlawful activities.
  11. Attendance is compulsory for all, reporting of the same will be conducted daily at 8.30pm*. All the students should be present in the hostel premises by 8.30 pm. No student will be allowed to stay out after 8.30pm for any reason*.
  12. While taking leave from the hostel, it is compulsory to enter the necessary information in the respective registers made available at the hostel gate.
  13. Guests/parents/relatives and friends are allowed in the students room only during the visiting hours (4 pm to 7.30 pm). They will not be entertained otherwise.
  14. The hostel warden/supervisor and management representatives have every right of inspection in case of any problems or complaints.
  15. The management/its representatives/the warden have the right to inform the parents/guardians about the misbehaviour of the student during their stay in the hostel.
  16. Students are not allowed to go on picnics/sightseeing without prior permission of the hostel authority/college authority.
  17. In case the student prefers to stay with the Local Guardian, the guardian must visit personally during office hours and apply for permission regarding the same. Only then the student will be permitted to leave the hostel campus.
  18. Rooms should be vacated before leaving the hostel.
  19. Misbehaviour with the hostel warden/supervisors, who reside in the hostel, will be subjected to severe punishment.
  20. Use of electrical appliances (irons, heaters, etc.) is prohibited inside the rooms. If found, the appliances will be forfeited and the student can be liable for disciplinary action.
  21. The students should read the notices displayed on the notice board regularly.
  22. The students are liable to any damage of the furniture and fixtures provided to them in the rooms during the stay.
  23. Furnished guest house is available for guests (of any student) who wish to stay in the campus.
  24. It is the responsibility of the students to strictly follow the above rules. If they are violated, the management will have the right to take disciplinary actions, including expulsion of the candidate from the hostel.
