Biotechnology and Bioinformatics are those streams where practical knowledge plays important role for student's development and gaining knowledge. Testing DNA, examinining cell cultures and splicing genes, these types of different tests and precticals are performed. These students typically work under the supervision of a experienced lab technician or faculty.

Genetic Engineering Lab


Different Demonstration are performed to help students visualize DNA by lysing (breaking open) bacterial cells on a slide and stringing up the DNA, even extraction of DNA from plants and other materials are performed in this lab. For this we provided DNA Sequencer, PCR (Thermal cycler), 2-D Electrophoresis unit, Dry bath, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, Cooling centrifuge, Water Bath, Tube gel electrophoresis, Deep freezer, Incubator Shaker, Laminar air flow, Bacteriological incubator.

Plant tissue culture is a collection of techniques used to maintain or grow plant cells, tissues or organs under sterile conditions on a nutrient culture medium of known composition.
