Any institute of higher learning is duty bound to add to the existing treasure of knowledge. Similarly a professional institute is required to play its role in seeking and providing solutions to the problems faced by the stakeholders through enquiry and research. IOM&R is alive to this role and it makes conscious efforts to carry out research through a variety of means. Research initiatives of MGM IOM&R are given in succeeding paragraphs.
MGM IOM&R is a recognized research centre of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Research centre named ‘Manthan’ is well equipped with a reference library, IT support and all other facilities required for research. Five research scholars are perusing their doctorate in the Research Centre.
The research center publishes an annual journal i.e. ‘Assimilation’ a national research journal with ISSN number. It is a platform for researchers to publish their research papers and articles. Research committee itself has been deputed as editorial committee for Assimilation along with few other faculties who are involved in the peer review process. Details are as under-

MGM IOM&R organizes one national /state level conference on the latest subjects every year. The response of the researchers and other stakeholders to the conferences has been overwhelming. The Institute has organized the following conferences in the last 5 years.

‘Avishkar’ was initiated by Farmer Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. S.M. Krishna in 2006. ‘Avishkar’ is a Research Competition for all Universities of Maharashtra. This is a special effort towards the participation of the talented students from rural and urban areas in a competition promoting research. Many students of the institute have participated in ‘Avishkar’ competition under the guidance of various faculties and has won prizes at the local and regional levels.
